Red Moves is part of the series based on the colors of the rainbow and the chakras associated with them. From the root chakra, energy spirals up the spine and through the body to the crown of on our heads. For Red Moves, I wanted to illustrate this movement in the form of a coil. Three words appear on the coil, "AIR", "SEX", and "EYE". I associate these words with the root chakra, the air we breath, the sex of our beings and the third eye that the root chakra influences. The coil itself is built from layers of tissue paper that creates a relief on the surface of the canvas.
